Friends Landing General Park Rules

Friends Landing is a family-friendly park. Guests who verbally or visually display excessive forms of profanity or aggressive behavior to other guests or Port staff will be considered to be trespassing and may be asked to leave.

 

  1. Park hours are from 7 am to 9 pm. Day-use patrons using the boat launch and picnic areas must leave the park by 9 pm. Overnight campers may enter until 10 pm.
  2. Most pets are welcome but must be on a leash at all times. It is the owner’s obligation to clean up after pets. Aggressive dogs are not allowed in the park, owners may be required to leave if their dog is aggressive toward other guests or animals.
  3. All vehicles must remain on paved spurs or designated areas. Please do not drive over or park on planted areas.
  4. No fireworks or firearms allowed. It is unlawful to discharge firearms, firecrackers, rockets or any other fireworks.
  5. Speed limit is 5 mph in all camping areas and 15 mph on the main road.
  6. The Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Department will enforce civil and criminal codes of Grays Harbor County.
  7. It is unlawful to destroy, injure, deface, remove or disturb any public building.
  8. Marijuana usage – It is unlawful to open a package containing marijuana, or to use any products containing marijuana in view of the general public or in a public place. – RCW 69.50.445
  9. No dumping of household or commercial waste brought from private property.
  10. No repairs on any vehicle may be done in the park. Do not allow fluids from any vehicle on the ground.
  11. No horses allowed.
  12. Licensed motorbikes, motorcycles, or other motor vehicles may be used only for access into or egress out of the recreation site. Unnecessary noise or joyriding is prohibited.
  13. NO SWIMMING. Jumping or diving from bridge, trees, or docks is prohibited.
  14. No skiing off boat docks.
  15. Lake fishing is allowed. Fishing platforms are provided for your convenience around the lake. No boats with internal combustion engines. No fishing from lake banks.
  16. Washington State Fishing License and State Fishing Laws are to be recognized and adhered to.
  17. 30-minute maximum moorage at loading floats. Boats may not be moored to the floats overnight.
  18. Yield to all pedestrians.
  19. No soliciting.
  20. Alcoholic beverages are allowed only at your campsite. No alcohol is permitted in any common area. Alcohol is permitted in picnic shelter(s) if you have a banquet permit issued by WSLCB for your group, see https://lcb.wa.gov/licensing/banquet-permits.

Friends Landing Campground Rules

  1. Check-in time begins at 1 pm.
  2. Check out time is noon. Sites not vacated by noon may be charged an additional night’s fee.
  3. Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am.
  4. No overnight camping except in designated campgrounds. Pitch tents and park trailers or other camping equipment allowed only in places provided for such purposes.
  5. Tent Camping limited to 14 consecutive days.
  6. In no case will a stay longer than 30 days per calendar year be permitted by the owner (Port of Grays Harbor) in the tent camping area. Guests must have a break of 5 days between each stay. A guest who has exceeded a stay of 30 days per calendar year in the tent campground may not relocate to the RV campground.
  7. RV Camping is limited to 45 consecutive days.
  8. In no case will a stay longer than 90 days per calendar year be permitted by the owner (Port of Grays Harbor) within the RV Park.
  9. No generators allowed.
  10. A maximum of 6 people are permitted in each campsite. More than 6 will require an additional site.
  11. A maximum of 2 vehicles are permitted in each campsite.
  12. No camping trailers, RV’s or other wheeled vehicles allowed in the tent areas. Only tents are allowed for overnight accommodations. All wheeled campers, RV’s etc. must make a reservation in the RV campground.
  13. No excessive outdoor storage allowed. Personal items outside the RV must be kept tidy and within your assigned space at all times. Clotheslines, hanging clothes, refrigerators, freezers and indoor furniture are not permitted outside.
  14. Build fires only in fire pits. No power saws allowed.
  15. All RVs and vehicles must be in good operating condition, good appearance, and have a current license.
  16. All RVs allowed in the park are subject to management approvals.
  17. Dispose of refuse or RV waste in receptacles provided for such use. RV dump station is for paid park guest use only.
  18. Remove all camping/picnic equipment and clean-up camp/picnic unit before departure.
  19. Campground is open March 15th through November 15th.
  20. The Port reserves the right to refuse to accept further fees from any person who fails to comply with these rules and regulations and may request that their space be vacated immediately. There will be no refunds.

Pets must be on a leash at all times.

Picnic Shelter Rules

Picnic shelters may be reserved.

Reservations may be made by calling (360) 861-8864 between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm.

If not previously reserved, the picnic shelters are available on a first come, first served basis.

There is no fee for use of a picnic shelter.

Group size is limited to 60 guests per picnic shelter.

Guests of picnic shelters must park in designated visitor parking areas. Guests may not park in campground spots.

Unless guests of the picnic shelter are also staying in a designated campground area, guests shall not venture into the campground areas.

Guests of Weyco 2 picnic shelter shall not gather or place belongings in the designated tent camping areas. Those areas are to be kept open and accessible.

Picnic Shelter guests may have access to the site only during park hours 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Picnic Shelter guests may use the public restrooms located near the Caretaker’s home.

Guests of the picnic shelter shall abide by park noise rules. No amplifier systems shall be used.

Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. No exceptions.
